Profession, Merchant Volume 1 Chapter 3

Chapter 3 – The Female Warrior, III

The female warrior joyfully picked up the hilt of the Blue Dragon Sword and swung it with impressive speed.

Every wave created a sound of air being torn apart, showcasing the woman’s power.

“This… it’s light.”

“Isn’t it? This has a stress-relieving magic to it.”

As I tried my best to explain the product, she looked at the blue dragon sword with increasing fondness.

The long handle was strong and sturdy, and the blade at the end was lustrous. It even reflected the sun’s rays as if to show its sharpness.

“The sword is a bit pricey, but I think it’s definitely worth it,”

“When you say pricey, how much is it?”

“It’s not that much for a greatsword like this. In Andersen’s currency, it’s a mere seven million Bonds.”

“I can’t afford that much! You can buy a warship with that price alone!”

The female warrior screamed.

“The price is reasonable. A warrior of your caliber would pay this much for a good weapon, moreover, someone who is seeking to party with the Hero. In fact, that blue armor you are wearing would cost much more. You could build a small fleet with those alone.”

“T-this thing costs that much!?”

What’s with that reaction? Wait. Don’t tell me she didn’t purchase her armor?

“Well, I can also give you a loan if you don’t have the money.”

“Yeah. But that armor would be my collateral. That’s the only mortgage I can accept.”

“Collateral? Mortgage?”

Oh, bother.

“That means I’ll take the armor if you can’t pay me back the money. It’s like a guarantee.” If yo u ar e abl e to r ea d this mes sag e, yo u are re adi ng from an una uthor ized ag grega te sit e. Rea d at my WordP res s at stab bing with a syr ing e. ho e. blo g to sup port me and my tran slat ions.

“What the, so it’s just that? Alright, fine.”

This girl, is she right in the head? She agreed just like that?

The world isn’t full of honest business people like me, you know?

Well, no matter what, it’s a merchant’s pleasure to have good merchandise bought by a skilled person.

Especially a warrior as strong as her.

I touched the armor at the elbow of the female warrior and cast a Read Spell to get a mortgage on the armor.

But when I saw the information, I frowned.

“Hey you, did you loan this?”

“No, I didn’t.”

“But this one already has the first mortgage in it.”

Yes, this means that if this female warrior goes bankrupt, I cannot take the armor because the first mortgage holder is in the way.

“I wonder if the previous owner did that? I don’t know?”

Well, no matter whose debt it is, this doesn’t change the fact that I can’t give her a loan.

“I’m sorry, but take it as if this conversation never happened.”

I said and tried to take the blue dragon sword away from her, but she wouldn’t let go.

“Don’t wanna.”

“Are you a child? How old are you?”

Already an adult. But you can say she’s still immature.

I thought she was a little older than that because of her glamorous figure.

However, she told me she’s a warrior-in-training, and a traveler at that, so I expected her to have some discretion.

I sighed.

“So what are you trying to do?”

“You have no money, no collateral, but you don’t want to let go of the Blue Dragon Sword. Do you want to rob me of my goods?”

“That’s not my intention.”

“Not your intention, but you’re still not giving me back my merchandise? How are you any different from the bandits lying around here? I’d hardly call you a proud warrior now.”

“No way…”

The female warrior suddenly became teary-eyed.

But when her light green emerald eyes moistened, it reminded me of the clear waters of a certain southern country.

Of course, I don’t want to sound like such a reproachful person either.

However, this Blue Dragon Sword is enchanted with an anti-thief spell, and if you move it away from me a certain distance without settling your account, a buzzer will sound, and the police of the nearest country will move in.

This female warrior might not mind dealing with the police, but it would be pitiful if she became a wanted person. Th is cha pt er tra nsla tion is m ade pos sibl e by sta bbi ng wit h a syr inge tr ansla tions. Chec k o nly up-to- da te trans lat ions on my Wo rdpr ess si te.

I mean, she’s already about to cry with just a slight diss.

“I understand.”

“Good. Now please, my sword.”

“Let’s settle it in a duel.”

“With whom? And who?”

“You and me, of course. If we duel, and if I win, I get this Blue Dragon Sword. Very warrior-like, don’t you think?”

“Not at all. Even if I win, I don’t get anything. It would be like an unequal treaty.”

“If you win, you still get something.”

With that, the female warrior smacks the center of the breastplate of her armor.

“You can’t bet that armor on the duel. It has been mortgaged for something else, remember?”

“No, not the armor.”

Then I finally noticed.

Her cheeks, as youthful as it gets, were flushing vermillion, and her lips, as rosy as they can be, were tightly knit.

“Don’t tell me it’s…”

“Yes. I’ll bet my body on it.”

The female warrior says this and hugs me, entwining herself around my left arm.

“I’m a warrior, so my muscles are pretty tight. But I have big tits, you know? I’m sure you’ll definitely enjoy it.”

Indeed, she possesses a massive chest that a man can definitely enjoy.

I can tell because those big tits are now pressing right against my elbow joint.

“Of course, I don’t think I’m going to lose, but it’s a duel, so the terms have to be equal.”

The scent of shampoo wafted from the golden hair of the female warrior, and even her breath was palpable.

The most important thing is that the young adult’s aggressively smooth and fine-textured skin is entwined with my left arm.

My consciousness was gradually invaded by the heat from the lower half of my body.

But then, I remembered the words of my father, my master.

A merchant should be passionate about his product but always have to keep cool on his head.

“Yes,” I thought calmly. There was no way that the female warrior, no matter how beautiful she was, would be worth the seven million Bonds.

This is where I should stand firm and say no.

“Will you accept my duel?”

““Yes! I’ll do it. Let’s Duel!”

What? That’s funny.

I just heard my mouth saying I will duel with the female warrior.

Moreover, putting my very high-quality weapon and her own body on the line….

When I realized it, it was too late.
